FCC Bookstudy on Race Begins January 26

Congregational Book Study0121.png

In January 2021 we will start a book study using the book Reading While Black by Esau McCaulley. McCaulley, a priest in the Anglican Church wrote the book about how African Americans interpret the Bible. Looking at the Bible from an African American perspective will help to understand some of the movements rising up around the issue of race in America. The study begins Tuesday, January 26 at 6:00 PM. You can purchase this book on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Bookshop.

Signup for the class here.

Introducing the Fall 2020 Theme

First Christian Church of St. Paul isn't closed.  We are still worshipping, albeit online. But how are we church, when we aren't meeting in a building?

Pastor Dennis writes about the theme for Fall 2020, which happens to be "The Church Has Left the Building."  We will learn about what it means to be a Christian during this season and it has to do with three different loves: Love God, Love Church, and Love Neighbor.  Read Pastor Dennis' article to learn more about our fall theme starting September 13.

Outdoor Worship Is Coming!

  • Wednesday, September 2 6:30 PM on the church property.

  • Worship will be set up to ensure social distancing. Masks required for event.

Keep Wednesday, September 2 open! We will have an outdoor worship service at 6:30 PM on the front lawn at First Christian. This will be one of the first times in a few months that we will worship together!  While being outdoors lessens the chance of contracting the coronavirus, we will still be practicing the use of social distancing and the wearing of masks. No congregational singing will take place.  While this will be a different kind of worship, it will be an opportunity for us to come closer together than we have in a few months. Hope to see you on September 2!
